Ronald McDonald House has invited our Kiwanis Club of Colorado Springs to host a homemade ice cream competition as part of its: 2026 Heart of the Summer Community Open House.
Date: August 15 Open House Time: 11:00 AM Location: Ronald McDonald House, 4223 Royal Pine Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80920 Team Arrival: Early enough to be set up by 9:30 AMso your ice cream is ready when attendees arrive. (RMCH Flyer attached (Ice Cream at RMCH.png) We held a similar event a few years ago with five Kiwanis teams and would love to do it again. We hope other area Kiwanis Clubs will join us and field a team this year.Team Requirements: Bring your own ice and ingredients. (TBD at Aug 12th Mtg) Our club will provide the hand‑crank freezers. A basic no‑cook recipe will be provided and must be used. All mixing must be done on‑site. Teams may add any flavorings or toppings they choose. Demonstration We’ll hold a short demonstration at 1:00 PM on August 12, immediately after our regular meeting (12–1 PM), at: Public House at Alexander 3104 N Nevada Ave Colorado Springs, CO 80907 We hope you’ll join us for this fun and rewarding event! Please let us know by August 8 if you plan to participate.
